“My Body, My CHOICE To LIVE! Say The UNBORN” whereas, the pro-choice woman should frankly say: “My body, my choice…. to kill!” I repeat, because truth to be understood often needs to be repeated.
In total contrast with the stated choice of the unborn baby (child), the pro-choice women, who of their own free will, in all honesty should bring their utterly selfish statement to completion. It should reflect the consequences of their ‘choice’, which is DEATH! It should say: “My body, my choice…to kill.”
The unborn baby CHOOSES to LIVE! The pregnant pro-choice woman CHOOSES to KILL the unborn baby (child) in her womb.
On the one hand LIFE. On the other, DEATH! Please take a moment and closely examine the stark contrast between ‘Life and Death’ on the two signs to your left. What is your ‘choice’ ?
One person who did an excellent job of dissecting the ‘my body, my choice’ slogan is Archbishop Prendergast, of Ottawa. He argued that it “espouses ‘a false sense of personhood’. He went on to say: “Today as a culture in Canada we tend to prize our individuality as a false sense of autonomy over relationships, community engagement and duty. In the abortion debate, individual autonomy is often at the core of the discussion.” He continued: “To be a fully actualized human being is not to be autonomous. Rather, to be fully human is to be in communion with God and our sisters and brothers in the mystical body of Christ. We are not made to be solitary individuals. We are made to be individuals in solidarity with God and with each other.” (cf: “Archbishop Prendergast dissects ‘my body, my choice’ slogan at March for Life Mass.” Lifesite News, May 11/12, by Thaddeus Baklinsky)
In this light, let us remember the saying: “Divided we fall, unite we stand.” Let us be very conscious that the preferred strategy of the evil one is “divide and conquer”. Thus the great wisdom found in Archbishop Prendergast’s words as he stressed ‘communion with God and solidarity with one another’!
A few days ago a pro-life Member of Parliament visited Fr. Tony Van Hee, S.J. and I on Parliament Hill where we protest daily with graphic signs against abortion. The M.P said to us as he referred to abortion: “For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
Now here is an M.P. who actually understands the vicious war in Canada and throughout the world between adherents of the ‘Culture of Life’ and those murderers who support the ‘Culture of Death’. This was so clearly seen in the November 6/12 election in the U.S.A The Democrats and Obama’s platform focused on death, mainly on women’s right to choose and the Republicans and Romney’s focus on life, on the rights of the unborn child. The election results were 52% for Obama and 48% for Romney! For this moment in the history of the world, the party of Death won out. God have mercy on America.
Shortly after the M.P’s visit, an elder man came up to me and said in a very sarcastic tone of voice as he pointed to Fr. Tony and myself: “You guys are losing the battle.” I quickly answered: “No were not losers, we are winners. We have God on our side, the God of Life.
As we pursued our intense argument, I said in a very sober tone of voice: “And you, with your pro-choice stance, you have the blood of the unborn on your hands. You are a murderer. Unless you change and repent, you will end up in Hell.”
Today, ‘freedom to choose’ trumps ‘morality’, bringing death and destruction to the world., but let us not forget that after this life there is God’s Judgement. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgement.” (Hebrews (9:27)
I ask you. What is your position? What is your choice? Is it to save the Life of the unborn? Or is it to support the ‘choice to kill’ the unborn baby? Think it over very seriously. The lives of the unborn children and your eternal destiny depends on it.

Note from the writer:
Peter Herbeck, a Catholic Evangelist with Renewal Ministries, expresses very well the ‘spiritual battle’ we are in today. (cf: “God is Disappearing…an article by Peter Herbeck, Director of Missions, Nov, 2012 issue of Renewal Ministries. www.renewalministries.net ) I urge you to read it.
Peter quotes Pope Benedict XVI in his letter to the Bishops of the world: “In vast areas of the world the faith is in danger of dying out like a flame which no longer has fuel…The real problem at this moment of our history is that God is disappearing from the human horizon, and with the dimming of the light which comes from God, humanity is losing its bearings, with increasingly evident destructive effects.”
I end with two extremely important questions: ” Is God in your life at the present moment? Are you defending the ‘Culture of Life’? Or, is your ‘Choice’ to Kill the unborn’?
